Github Codespaces#

Github offers its users Github Codespaces cloud virtual machines for development. You can create your Github repository for strategt backtesting notebooks and edit them you through web browsers.

Pros

  • This is the easiest option to get started

  • Only Github user account required

  • Github Codespaces is equivalent of Visual Studio Code in cloud

Cons

  • Github Codespaces is somewhat slows

  • Web browser is not as effective tool as a local development environment
